WHO WE ARE
Tails of Valor® is dedicated to providing rehabilitation through non-medicinal therapies for those Veterans, Law Enforcement and Emergency Personnel diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Tails of Valor® focuses on the emerging complementary treatment of the human/canine bond. Our programs are offered as an adjunct to the trauma focused therapies.
Trauma focused therapies are those that directly address the traumatic experience requiring the client to actively engage with the trauma memories, beliefs and triggers. These therapies utilize various strategies including behavioral, cognitive-behavioral and emotion-focused approaches.
We concentrate on building support, empathy, insight and adaptive coping mechanisms to the trauma stressors. Our programs are free to our Veterans, Law Enforcement and Emergency Personnel.
