Private First Class, US Army, Travis Clyde Zimmerman, of New Berlinville, PA was stationed at Fort Campbell with Bravo Company of the 101st Airborne, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, known as the Screaming Eagles. In February, he was sent to Camp Striker in South Baghdad, Iraq. He was very proud of what he was doing and felt that he was making a difference in the war on terrorism. Travis was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near his observation post during dismounted combat reconnaissance operations in Baghdad.
